RELITE resins comply with published food processing directives including the European Resolution ResAP (2004) 3 and the American F.D.A. CFR – 173.25. The resins are supplied moist and in the most innocuous, stable ionic form*. Before use, resins should remain sealed in the original packaging. Good housekeeping should ensure storage in clean conditions at room temperature.

Loading and commissioning

Problem arising from ion exchange processes are seldom if ever resin caused. All equipment, operating conditions and procedures should be checked to ensure compliance with design specifications. When re-bedding existing plant, the old resins must be completely removed. The vessel should be cleaned out and all damaged or malfunctioning equipment repaired or, better, replaced.
